Doug is the founder and CEO of XRS Research. Doug’s specialty is combining consumer insights with actionable strategies and innovative ideas that impact the marketplace. Doug has extensive experience in a variety of industries, and has worked on brands including Nokia, 3M, American Standard, Rocky Brands, Anthem, Carhartt, Ensure, Clear Eyes, Huntington Banks, Bath & Body Works, Big Lots, Tween Brands and many others. He has two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from The Ohio State University, and has taught marketing at the graduate level at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and Franklin University.

VP, Consumer Strategy

Janie brings more than 10 years of strategic marketing and research experience to the XRS team. Having worked with major corporations coast-to-coast, Janie has spent time at America Online where she led the most profitable marketing channel,  Alternative and Print Media Marketing, for the company.  Janie also spent time at Bath & Body Works as Manager of Customer Marketing, and as a marketing agency leader where she owned direct, brand, and loyalty marketing strategy for brands such as Lucky Brand Jeans, The Bon-Ton Stores, Juicy Couture, City BBQ, Cole Haan, Kate Spade, Liz Claiborne, and many more.

Most recently, Janie has led several strategic branding, marketing research and strategy initiatives for major global brands including: Holmes, Bionaire, Durango Boots, Rocky Brands, Georgia Boot, Crock-Pot, FoodSaver, and Ruscilli Construction among others.

Janie holds a degree in Business Administration & Marketing from The George Washington University.

VP, Creative Insights

Vice President of Creative Insights, Kyle understands that ideas and design can only be as great as the foundation they are built upon. He loves discovering the insight, nurturing the big idea and executing it in a way that delivers maximum impact.

Kyle has conceptualized, designed, and produced branding and marketing materials for a bevy of noted clients. His experience includes American Standard, Bath & Body Works, Big Lots, Carhartt, Charles Penzone, City Barbeque, Dad’s Dog Food, Durango Boots, Experience Columbus, FacilitySource, Georgia Boot, Guernsey Bank, Hoggy’s Restaurants, Hoover, Huntington Banks, OhioHealth, Rocky Brands, and Wayne-Dalton. He has solved problems for branding, advertising, in-store promotions, direct response campaigns, traffic-building events, product naming, packaging, merchandising planograms, point of purchase, direct mail, environmental graphics, alternative marketing, social media and online components. He works in virtually all new and traditional marketing mediums.

Kyle has a deep understanding and experience with influencing brands from research to strategy to execution.
